Carver Scholastic Scholarship

Carver Scholastic Scholarship The George Washington Carver Birthplace District Association, in conjunction with the George Washington Carver National Monument, is pleased to announce we are accepting applications for the George Washington Carver Scholastic Scholarship in the months of February and March each year. This scholarship program, first awarded in 2002, recognizes educational excellence and outstanding public service in honor of the renowned Dr. Carver – Educator, Scientist, and Humanitarian. This scholarship opportunity is designed to inspire the creative minds of young people who are seeking a post high school education in Science, Art, Agriculture, Music, or Bible. The $500.00 scholarship will be awarded to a qualified graduating student from a local recognized high school or equivalent. We would like to encourage all qualified students to apply for this prestigious scholarship. Interested students must complete the George Washington Carver Scholastic Scholarship form and attach all required supporting information. For students to qualify, the George Washington Carver Birthplace District Association must receive the application package by April 1, 2003. Applications can be picked up at the George Washington Carver National Monument Visitor Center located at 5646 Carver Road, Diamond, MO.
